Founded in 2006, Arden Entertainment has worked on high-profile UK West End and touring shows including City of Angels, Bat Out of Hell, Dirty Dancing, Bad Girls, Guys & Dolls and Never Forget.
Arden Entertainment provided consultancy services and general management of the Old Vic Tunnels.
Douglas McJannet – Founder
Douglas has more than 20 years’ experience working in theatre producing throughout UK and Europe. Before establishing Arden Entertainment he worked for Ambassador Theatre Group for 6 years, as well as Stage Entertainment UK. Douglas has a wealth of knowledge of London theatres and UK touring venues, as well as a strong understanding of the nuances of each location. He is also experienced in producing large-scale international theatre productions.
Productions include City of Angels (Garrick) directed by Josie Rourke, producer Nica Burns; Carmen Jones (Classic Stage Company, New York) directed by John Doyle; Room directed by Cora Bisset and in 2019, Arden general managed the new production of Radio by Al Smith, produced by Audible at the Arcola Theatre and starring Adam Gillen.
In development Shake It Up, Beverly by Susan Holder and Footballers’ Wives the Musical for Big Broad Productions.

Sally Wood – Producer
Sally is on the board of trustees for the Roundhouse Theatre and is a patron of The Ben Kinsella Trust.
She has chaired three galas for the Roundhouse Trust raising over 2.5 million pounds to help over 10,000 young people realise their creative potential through various projects in music, media and performing arts. In 2019 Sally was awarded The Offie ‘Producer of the Year’ award.

Paul Casey – Producer & General Manager
Hailing from Australia, Paul was executive producer of one of Melbourne’s most respected independent theatres, fortyfivedownstairs, where he produced a broad range of new works.
Paul has had an extensive business management career, working for many leading fashion and retail organisations.

Julia Nye – Associate Producer
Julia joined Arden Entertainment after a career in journalism, PR and advertising. Julia’s work has covered many areas, from Associate Director of The Conran Design Group with accounts such as Habitat, Heals & The Conran Shop, PR for Gucci Fragrances and Butlers Wharf, to launching a trade publication for a major publisher and being researcher/front of camera on a BBC/NBC documentary in Eastern Turkey. Julia continues to handle the PR for a homeless charity based in Sussex.
Having worked alongside Arden on All Or Nothing the Musical, she then worked on Chasing Bono, Tumulus, Radio, Shida and workshops for Sugar and Beaches. Recent projects have included The Vote and City of Angels.
Sharon Duckworth – Associate Producer
Sharon has spent most of her career in the theatre, starting in the box office at the Liverpool Playhouse and ending up in the West End – via the National Theatre, and the Everyman Theatre, Liverpool – at Sonia Friedman Productions, where she worked on productions such as No Man’s Land, Arcadia, La Cage aux Folles, La Bête, Shirley Valentine, The Children’s Hour, and Jerusalem. After a year wandering around South and Central America, she returned to the Old Vic theatre for Fortune’s Fool in 2015. She is currently working with Arden Entertainment and independently on a number of freelance projects.
Geraint Humphreys – Associate Producer
Marketing and online (web, digital and social media) for productions including Bomber’s Moon, Crush, Jackie The Musical, the Roundhouse Gala and Opera Holland Park’s tour of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Alan Dear – Consultant
Alan has an extensive career in arts management, working across local authorities, arts and culture trusts, charities, venues and the education sector.
He worked closely in his role at Gardyne Theatre Dundee, with Douglas McJannet to develop and produce Jackie the Musical and with Selladoor on The Broons.
Formerly in the Arts Unit at Westminster Council, he developed solid links with the community and education sectors in the City and with the West End, increasing access to the arts for city residents.
His previous work has included the establishment of Dundee City Festival and Big Weekend Cardiff and as Head of Education at Welsh National Opera, he worked across Wales and the South West of England to develop new productions for, by and with community audiences.
His passion is creativity and learning across the community, connecting the work of professional theatre, dance, circus and music organisations to new audiences. Highly experienced in arts and cultural management, fundraising and development and planning for growth, he has worked with organisations as diverse as the Royal College of Organists, NoFit State Circus, Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, WNO, The Roadmender, Northampton and Riverfront, Newport.
Alan is based in Scotland and is working with Arden Entertainment across a range of projects and future growth plans.
