Arden Entertainment
Arden Entertainment is a theatre production and general management company based in the West End.

Working closely with writers, directors and producers from the early stages of production, we provide a bespoke service for each of our clients.

From script development and creative advice to budgeting and booking, our industry expertise and extensive network of contacts ensures delivery of a first class production.

Founded in 2006 by producer Douglas McJannet, Arden Entertainment has worked on high-profile UK West End and touring shows including Dirty Dancing, Bad Girls, Guys & Dolls and Never Forget.

From 2008 to 2013, Arden Entertainment provided consultancy services and general management of the Old Vic Tunnels.

Douglas McJannet – Producer and General Manager
Douglas has more than 20 years’ experience working in theatre producing throughout UK and Europe. Before establishing Arden Entertainment he worked for Ambassador Theatre Group for 6 years, as well as Stage Entertainment UK. Douglas has a breadth of knowledge of London theatres and UK touring venues, as well as a strong understanding of the nuances of each location. He is also experienced in producing large-scale international theatre productions.

Recent productions include City of Angels (Garrick) directed by Josie Rouke, producer Nica Burns; Carmen Jones (Classic Stage Company, New York) directed by John Doyle; Room directed by Cora Bisset and in 2019, Arden general managed the new production of Radio by Al Smith, produced by Audible at the Arcola Theatre and starring Adam Gillen.

Douglas’ career highlights include Producing & General Managing the UK tour of Jackie the Musical; Bad Girls The Musical (Garrick Theatre); Footballers’ Wives the Musical; Crush for Big Broad Productions in association with Belgrade Theatre, Coventry; Dirty Dancing (Aldwych, National Tours and European productions); Guys and Dolls (Piccadilly) with Ewan McGregor, Jenna Russell, Jane Krakowski and Douglas Hodge; Disney’s The Lion King (Mogador, Paris); Three Sisters (Playhouse) directed by Michael Blakemore starring Kristen Scott-Thomas; Rocky Horror Show (Queen’s and 5 National Tours); Never Forget – The Take That Musical (Savoy and 3 National Tours) and Sovremennik’s Into the Whirlwind, in association with Roman Abramovich, for the 2011 West End Russian Season (Noel Coward).

Other productions include My One and Only (Piccadilly); Mystery of Charles Dickens (West End and National Tours); Vincent in Brixton directed by Sir Richard Eyre starring Clare Higgins (Wyndham’s and National Tour); Roald Dahl’s The Witches starring Ruby Wax (Wyndham’s and National Tour); Bouncers by John Godber (Whitehall and National Tour); Simply Heavenly co-production with the Young Vic (Trafalgar Studios) starring Ruby Turner and Clive Rowe; Smokey Joe’s Café (National Tours); Pajama Game (Victoria Palace); Servant to Two Masters co-production with RSC (Albery), National Theatre’s Noises Off (Piccadilly and National Tour) and All or Nothing (The Vaults and National Tours).

Sally Wood – General Manager
Sally is on the board of trustees for the Roundhouse Theatre and is a Patron of The Ben Kinsella Trust.

She has chaired three galas for the Roundhouse Trust raising over 2.5 million pounds to help over 10,000 young people realise their creative potential through various projects in music, media and performing arts. In 2019 Sally was awarded The Offie ‘Producer of the Year’ award.

Productions include: Chasing Bono (Soho 2019); Wasted (Southwark Playhouse 2018); Hidden in the Sand (Trafalgar Studios); Touched Like A Virgin (Soho); Third Floor (Trafalgar Studios); Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus (UK tour, Edinburgh Festival & Dubai); The Moon is Halfway to Heaven (Jermyn Street); Guess How Much I Love You (UK tour, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, South Korea, Belgium, Holland); CBeebies Little Charley Bear (Ambassadors); Lone Star & Private Wars; Days of Hope (both at Kings Head); The Rubenstein Kiss (Hampstead ). Winner of the TMA Best New Play Award and The John Whiting Award.

Sally also produced Live at the Ambassadors, a variety of concerts featuring acts such as, Charlie Watts, Mick Hucknall, Paul McCartney, Kelly Jones, Beverley Knight, James McCartney, Bill Wyman, Mica Paris & more.

Sally is also the founder of Sweet Theatre Ltd, producing theatrically inspired confectionery. Sweet Theatre

Paul Casey – Producer & General Manager
Paul joined the Arden Entertainment team in 2016. Hailing from Australia, he was executive producer of one of Melbourne’s most respected independent theatres, fortyfivedownstairs, where he produced a broad range of new works.

Paul had an extensive business management career, having worked for leading fashion and retail organisations.

Paul was a board member of fortyfivedownstairs theatre and gallery from 2008-2016.

Geraint Humphreys – Associate Producer
Marketing and Online (Web, Digital and Social Media) for productions including Bomber’s Moon, Crush, Jackie The Musical, the Roundhouse Gala 2015 and Opera Holland Park’s tour of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Julia Nye – Associate Producer
Julia became part of Arden Entertainment in 2018 after a career in journalism, PR and advertising. Julia’s work has covered many areas, from Associate Director of The Conran Design Group with accounts such as Habitat, Heals & The Conran Shop, PR for Gucci Fragrances and Butlers Wharf, to launching a trade publication for a major publisher and being researcher/front of camera on a BBC/NBC documentary in Eastern Turkey. Julia continues to handle the PR for a homeless charity based in Sussex.

Having worked alongside Arden on All Or Nothing the Musical, she joined the company, working on Chasing Bono, Tumulus, Radio, Shida and workshops for Sugar and Beaches.
